Engagement Celebration

So our engagement weekend had some crummy weather and our hot air balloon ride had to take a rain check. We made up for it this past weekend in spades.

On Saturday morning we started with a hot air balloon ride just west of the Shenandoah in Woodstock, VA. It was great - very peaceful and surreal.

Following the balloon we hiked (and drank) a bit on the Appalachian trail. Luckily Obama declared that National Parks were free for the weekend - so we saved $15.

After the trail we went on a lazy guided horse ride. Jenn was on Pearl and I rode Rambo. It was Jenn's first time riding and she really had a great time.

We checked into an awesome little B&B in Front Royal and headed out for an evening drink at Fox Meadow Winery. (Ask Jenn to tell you an awkward story).

It all sounds like a busy weekend, but we are deft in the ways of staying mellow under pressure. That or were sauced and well entertained - so it all had a relaxing vibe to it.

Good weekend!
