Just a quick note to let you know that we're alive and well.
Jenn and I woke up early tonight and had an incredible day at the Great Wall. There were many places to attack it, but Jenn insisted on one of the trickier ones (Simatai). It was great. We'll do a proper post on it after we get access to the internet proper. Just a note for any future Beijing visitors... if we had it to do over we'd get dropped off at Simatai and picked up at Jinshanling. That way you'd get 10Km one direction and you'd see a bit more of the unrestored wall.
As for tonight, we're off to have a belated birthday dinner. Peking Duck at Dadong's.
Tomorrow we'll hop a train and head towards Xi'an and its Terra Cotta Army.
